The Debate

I find it somewhat amusing. I mean the debate between DSAI and Saberry. DSAI put up very interesting facts but i dont see how the implimentation of it. You can talk which is what he is good at but to impliment it? It would be rather difficult if you take into account of whats happening around the world. The fact is ENERGY prices is at all record high!

One more interesting thing is, of all the talk, all the name calling, all the accusations, it seems that the public forgets that it is the government that raise the price of fuel by reducing the subsidies. PETRONAS is not to be blamed. Same goes to the IPPs. Petronas did their part and gave the government billions of ringgit and it is the government's decision to reduce the subsidies. As a result, the price of nearly everything gone skyroketing! It appears the people behind this move didnt gave it much thought when they decided to hike the fuel price at the pumps. What do you expect will happen? Petronas and the IPPs have no control over energy prices. Selling rates on energy supplies are solely under government control.Yes, the increase in fuel prices is inevitable but it should be done in a gradual manner. That way, the public would have time to adjust. The government would also have time to impliment measures to control prices of other essential commodities. A thorough enforcement could be made ready. All of this was not done. The government was not prepared. Everyone knows this. So who is to be blame? Only one name fits the bill. Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. It was his decision. Period!

The price of fuel is already high. People are being burden with enormous cost of living. No time to adjust. No savings prepared. Loans will be defaulted. It's a bleak situation. Theres a dark cloud forming above Malaysia. Whether it turns out to be a mild rain or a category 5 hurricane, only time will tell.

Note: I smell a rat! And it's just not one rat. It's a family of rats!
