Anwar Ibrahim was sworn into parliament on thursday only to stage a walkout hours later in a row over controversial DNA sampling legislation. Anwar claimed that the legislation is targeted at him, as he refused to provide a sample after being arrested on sodomy charges.
Your Honorable Dato' Seri Anwar, please. You are a member of parliment. The new legislation is for the whole country as it will be usefull againts criminals or suspected criminals. There is no law requiring suspected criminals and convicted criminals to submit their DNA. This is for the purpose of investigating a crime as DNA cannot lie.
Again, you are selfish and thinking of yourself only. With DNA profiling and testing, crimes can be investigated quickly and criminals can be brought to justice. The whole justice system is not designed to serve you and you only. It's for the entire nation. You say that it is designed to be used againts you. But how about other people which with the legislation passed, it will be usefull to them to obtained juctice?
