Hard times ahead

Well, it appears that all of us will be facing tougher times ahead. The economy is pretty much in shambles. It is evident here in KLIA. Things are getting slower by the day. Less passenger traffic and a slowdown in cargo export as well.

Here in the cargo community in the Airport City, Free Commercial Zone KLIA, it is evident that the export slowdown is due to a lot of factories is shifting their production operations to either China or Vietnam. KLIA is basically supported by Selangor,Negeri Sembilan,Melaka and Johor with the biggest contributor will be the state of Selangor. Since the shift of power, the opposition taking the Selangor state, a lot of production companies are not happy with the new government policies. A lot of this companies have been operating here in Selangor for the past 25 years. The sudden shift in power politics and policies are taking a toll on this companies. As a result, they have shifted their production facilities elsewhere. What is left are only administration offices.

If this continues, there maybe a permanent factory closedown. If you want to know, it is not that our price of labour is cheap, infact, Malaysia is amongst the highest paid in regional south east asia next to Singapore. It is because of the Federal and State Goverment policies and investments benefits it offers. When the opposition took over 5 states, apparently it knows nothing about enonomics and was not prepared. As a result, Malaysia is losing a lot of foreign investments. The BN government under Prime Minister Dato' Seri Abdullah Badawi are also to be blame. He and his so called advisors have more or less destroyed the economy. The previous Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, left the country in a good state of health to the current Prime Minister. It was the shear ignorance and arrogance of himself and his advisors trying to dismantle what have been planned by the previous administration that contributed to the slow but surely distruction of the economy.

The opposition on the other hand, with unimaginable winnings in the GE12, took over with no affirmative action plan on the economy. As a result, the 5 states under the opposition is experiencing economic meltdown. But this is not publish. Everything is swept away under the carpet. Afterall, they can always blame it on the federal government. We can see emerging cracks in the Pakatan Rakyat now. They cant even decide who is who and what is what. All they can think of is their own bellies and their twisted agendas.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the previous prime minister, set a vision, affirmative action plan for the economy and a monetary shield for the country. All Dato' Seri Abdullah Badawi had to do was to follow through. He did not. He wanted a legacy of his own. His family's greed grew so huge that almost every dicision made for the country has to be run through them first. As a result, what we are experiencing now. What a mess!

Note: Destroy the head of the snake and the body will die with it!
