The By-Election. Realities.

The atmosphere is supercharged. Fuelled by the obvious media frenzy over the upcoming Permatang Pauh by-election. The apparent return of Anwar Ibrahim to parliment and the clear road to Putrajaya as the new Prime Minister.

I never have doubt that votes won by opposition in GE12 was due to people's frustration towards BN. Not because they think the opposition could improve their living or because they truly believed on more open society with transparency including doing away with the Internal Security Act.

They shift their votes simply because they are fed-up and frustrated with the Abdullah Badawi's government. I’m pretty sure that the opposition themselves does not expect such victory, truly they did not won UMNO's loss. It was obvious.

For any reasons whatsoever, i still cannot subscribe to any of Anwar Ibrahim ideologies or struggles. It is so obvious, to fulfill his own sake and interests, he is willingly to trade off his own nation's interests and his people so that he can become Prime Minister. He is nickname Anwar 'Become Prime Minister at all cost' Ibrahim.

Anwar Ibrahim is not what he seems to be. One should ponder that Anwar is not that brilliant in economics as he so ardently claimed. Lets do a little synopsis regarding the matter.

During the begining of the 97-98 financial crisis, he hiked up interest rates. A move which those who are familiar with economics, supports western school of thoughts, along the lines the World Bank and IMF would implement. A move that would have stifled our economy and cause many companies to go bankrupt. That is how the west tackles poor economic conditions. Close down businesses or a take over by them. He did nothing to help stop or solve the crisis. This is what Anwar wanted to do then. As a result, he was fired! This is the true reason why he was fired. Better be fired as a 'morally disturb' politician than being fired as a 'traitor' to the nation.

Anwar Ibrahim is nothing but a pawn in a bigger western agenda. He is a western proxy to serve their agendas. He was back then and now, he still is. He is a liar and a hypocrite. He changes his stance whenever it is suitabe to him and his inner circle. He will say anything to anybody as long as it pleases them. People should think deep and hard to elect a person the likes of Anwar Ibrahim.

The majority voted for PR in GE12 is solely because they wanted UMNO and BN to realise their discontent. For most part of Badawi's administration, their discontent fell on deaf ears. The only way they could do were to cast their votes to the opposition, eventhough they knew that it was a risk.

One thing is for sure, Pakatan Rakyat which consist of PKR,PAS and DAP only work together to defeat BN. However, they don't have any common goals and no leadership base. You can see clearly that most of them are just a bunch of opportunist. I fear to think the chaos they'll create when they are in power.
